Two years ago I was diagnosed with Prostate Cancer, thankfully through early diagnosis and prompt treatment and wonderful care at Velindre Hospital my PSA levels have dropped dramatically and am well on the way to be cured. I have participated in several fundraising events for Velindre over the last ten years including Jonathan Davies Captain’s California bike ride in 2012, which was a great experience. I am really looking forward to this challenge and confident that as a result of my recent cancer treatment I will be able to complete the ride of 400 miles in five days as I cycle from Paris to Bordeaux.        We will be starting our ride from Paris on the 4th of September     Cycling has always given me a focus and was instrumental in my  recovery after treatment  I will be contributing 1k myself which will cover more than the cost of my trip, so every penny you give will go to this fantastic cause that is close to my heart, you never know when you or one of your dear ones will need their expertise
